14:00 Session 1: Challenges, Responses and Opportunities in the Chinese Health SectorRapid demographic and social changes in China are placing new pressures on the healthcare system as an ageing and increasingly wealthy population seek responses and treatments for ailments associated with a prosperous nation. This session will investigate some of the key challenges of healthcare provision in a rapidly changing China, how the Chinese government and the global healthcare industry are responding to these challenges, and what opportunities are being created for large as well as small and medium-sized Swiss enterprises.
Followed by panel discussion moderated by Prof. Michael Jeive, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland 15:15 Networking Break15:30 Session 2: Digital Health in ChinaThe ultra-rapid expansion of mobile and digital technologies is affecting every facet of life in China today including healthcare. This session will examine how these new technologies can be applied to solving China’s current and future healthcare problems with a particular focus on how technologies are helping in diagnosis, individualised health, monitoring and treatment. The session will also consider some of the solutions offered by Swiss and Chinese companies and the challenges of delivering these services and solutions in the Chinese environment.
